The Korg tuners are much better. However, this does have a contact pick up built in, so that is a plus - Korg didn't and I had to search elsewhere for the pick up to improve my Korg tuner.
I gave this tuner away because the Korg tuner with a contact pick up is superior in fine tuning a guitar, or mandolin.

I haven't tried many other chromatic tuners but this one is hassle free. The PT1 was recommended by guitar teacher, but the features it added didn't make sense to me. I'm not on stage or back stage and don't have to tune in the dark. This model works very well when you find the right placement on the headstock. Definitely Recommended.
